Engr Udengs Eradiri
ERADIRI, Udengmobofa
Udengs, born 22nd March 1976, Member Nigerian Society of
Enginners , COREN Certified a graduate from the University of
Benin with a degree in Production Engineering and also has a
certificate in Dredging Technology from the A&M University
Texas USA. He also obtained certified obtained an Honorary
Doctorate (Hons). in Business Management and Corporate
Leadership at European-American University in 2017. He also
attended the National Institute for Policy and Strategic
Studies, Kuru Jos, Nigeria.
He is certified by the Lagos Business School, Nigeria on
Negotiation Skills.
He is an Engineer,
businessman, human rights activist, Ijaw Leader and politician
who is determined to continually enhance the business and
corporate sector by fostering management skills, technical
expertise and effective leadership, determined to contribute
and provide support to community development programs in the
Niger-Delta Region, Nigeria and the world at large.
As an Engineer and businessman, he runs a Dredging,
Construction, Security and General Contracting Company,
Radnitz Integrated Services Limited based in Bayelsa state
that delivered and is still delivering quality projects in the
Niger Delta and beyond.
As a Leader and human rights
activist, he made tremendous impact early enough in his
journey as follows:
In 2005: Secretary-General, Izon-Ebe Students Electoral Commission, Burutu
In 2004; He was Chairman, National Convention Planning Committee, National Union of Bayelsa State Students (NUBSS)
In 2003: He was Commissioner III, University of Benin, Student Union Government Electoral Commission, President, Nigerian Universities Engineering Students Association (NUESA), University of Benin Chapter.
In 2002: He was Parliamentarian, Student Union Government, University of Benin
In 2000: He was Secretary-General, National Union of Bayelsa State Students, University of Benin Chapter
His
Post School Experience is characterized by service to Bayelsa
and Niger Delta in various capacities. He was part of the
Successful vocational training of recipients of the Federal
Government Amnesty Initiative in Nigeria, and was a
stakeholder and played a major role in the successful
negotiation of the Nigerian Amnesty Deal in 2009.
He also functioned in the following capacities
2016 - 2019: Member, Bayelsa State Assets and Property Recovery Committee
2013 - 2017: President, Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide.
2009: Secretary, Bayelsa State Security and Economic Development Committee
2008 - 2009: Member, Bayelsa State Income Expenditure Transparency Initiative (BEITI)
2007-2010: Secretary, Bayelsa State Employment Verification Committee (pac1)
2007-2010: Member, Gbarain- Ubie Project Advisory Committee (pac1)
2007 - 2010: Secretary-General, Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Worldwide
2006 - 2007: Vice-President, Ekpetiama Youth Association
His
foray in competitive Politics started in 2011, when he contested
for the Federal House of Representatives for the Kolokuma /
Okpokuma Yenagoa Federal Constituency seat under the Labour
Party.
He has since then served in various other political capacities.
2018 - 2019, He was Honorable Commissioner for Youth Development, Bayelsa State,
2019 - 2020, he was Honorable Commissioner for Environment, Bayelsa State
He
has also served at the national Level when in January 2021 he
was appointed Special Assistant on Youths and Sports to the
Interim Administrator Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC)
and was re-appointed as Special Assistant on Youths and Sport to
the Acting MD, Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC from 2022
to January 2023 until the Board was eventually constituted.
Still driven by his passion for
the people, growth and development, he believes that Bayelsa
state has all the it takes to truly be the glory of all lands
the way it is tagged. He also believes that with his wealth of
experience and capabilities, he has what it takes to lead the
innovation and movement for a working Bayelsa that will truly
be glory of all lands. He is therefore aspiring to be Governor
of Bayelsa State under the Platform of Labour Party come
November 2023.
In his words, “It is our right to participate and own Bayelsa
and make Bayelsa productive". The Loyalty of our people is
tilted towards political office therefore, I want to transform
that loyalty to productivity in order to make Bayelsa the envy
of states in Nigeria.
He is married to Teslimat Abubarkar Eradiri and blessed with
three lovely children.
